Legalization of Physician-Assisted Suicide
Legalization of physician-assisted suicide is an ongoing debate in many states. plurality against physician-assisted suicide be afraid it will be abused, or that the laws governing it may not be enough to retain incompetent people from making the wrong choice. People that are for physician-assisted suicide acknowledge the same concerns but think that with the advanced laws in place, and if used correctly, it can be helpful in easing some of the suffering at the end of a life. Although there are reasons such as personal, religious, or fear of abuse that people may not agree with physician-assisted suicide, it comes down to the right to choose, and these issues should not get in the way of its legalization.
Since 1998, when Oregon made physician-assisted suicide legal, with The Death with gravitas Act, physician-assisted suicide has not produced any of the bad settlements thought by those who opposed its legalization.
