Solving the chore
When youre in a situation and you and the other person dont of necessity agree, I would strongly suggest you use the PUGSS method.
PUGSS is simply an acronym for, describing the Problem; achieve Understanding; identifying Goals; brainstorm Solutions; and selecting the high hat Solution.
At the radical of the semester I discovered that my roommate was eating all my sustenance without requesting for permission and it really do me upset. So sort of of yelling at her and being unreasonable I alto welcomeher thought about the PUGSS procedure I learned in my communications class and decided that it would work perfectly!
The adjoining day I waited for her to get home so we stern talk about this situation. When she walked through the door I asked if I can speak to her for a bit, so I presented the job and told her that I didnt appreciate her taking things without permission because it made me upset and it showed that she didnt respect me.
Next I asked if she tacit where I was coming from and asked if she can repeat what I told her so I know she was able to comprehend what I was precept and we were on the same page. Then I set up a goal we can both agree with, ask for permission before she eats my food that I purchased myself, and asked if that seems exchangeable a reasonable goal. When we both came to an agreement we figured that was the best solution and that this problem wouldnt happen again.
Solving problems with the PUGSS representation definitely makes things a lot better and gets the problem lick in a pleasing, controlling manner without letting things get out of control.
