INTRODUCTION:
One purpose of this stressing ground was to observe the prison term it took for a candle attack to supplant under a beaker. A constant variable in the test was the candle because it was the same candle every time. An mugwump variable for the experiment would be the beaker sizes because they determine the results of the observation. A hooklike variable in the test would be the time it took the set fire to to remove because it was determined by the size of the beaker. The procedure prone will lead to a valid conclusion because if the steps were followed correctly the conclusion would be correct. A hypothesis for this test would be that if the beakers flap bigger, the time for the flame to extinguish would weigh longer.
PROCEDURE:
A candle, placed on the lab table, was lit. A beaker was placed over the burning candle and a timekeeper was started. Once the flame extinguished the timer stopped and the time on it was recorded. After the time was recorded, the candle was relit. Then another, littler beaker was placed over the flame and was timed also. Once the flame extinguished, the time was recorded again.
