Introduction
In this paper I will be describing work issues and situations occurring in my present and previous employment. Places of employment in the fall in States are governed by both federal law and arouse law. Federal law deals with wages and hours, withholding employee taxes and social warranter contributions, unpaid family and medical leave, illegal divergence and safety in the body of work. State issues include unemployment compensation and workers compensation. Wrongful discharge is a state law. To give workers a fair opportunity to stick by and retain jobs carnal knowledge and state legislation have passed laws prohibiting discrimination in the workplace.
The main law is act V11 of the federal courtly rights act of 1964. It outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender and field origin. Sexual harassment in the workplace is also prohibited. An government activity must have over 20 employees if Title V11 passel apply to the organization.



An organization with over 20 employees cannot use race, color, religion, gender, or national origin as his basis for decisions in hiring, firing, promotions, dismissals, salary raises, benefits, work assignments and leave of absence.
The Federal Pregnancy Act of 1978 is an amendment to Title V11. Under this law its discrimination to treat an employee differently because of gestation period and childbirth. If a woman is effective by such a condition she mush be treated the same as other people in the workplace.
The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 was passed by congress to help eliminate discrimination against people with disabilities.
The Age inequality in employment Act prohibits discriminates against older workers. It applies to private agate line with 20 or more employees.
