C & angstrom unit; C marketplace Stores Inc. C & international ampere; C Grocery first opened its doors in 1947 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Doug Cummins and his brother Bob both wanted to gallop their own business, so they found a good military position and used their savings to open up the store. They strived to obtain lucrativeness and growth, and did so with an approach that was committed to customer service and satisfaction. Employees at C & C Grocery developed the more informal style of serving the customer that Doug had put forward. In 1985, company headquarters moved from Charlotte to Atlanta.
