The United States is a diverse country, home to more than 195 nationalities (2010 Census). Founded in 1781 under the Articles of Confederation by former British colonists, the U.S. was conventional with the values of freedom and liberty, which has drawn people of all races and nationalities (Pillai). little than a century after its inception, the country saw a boom of incoming immigrants from europium. The influx did not stop there, and the U.S. continues to percolate the arrival of new peoples, which become integrated in its periodical life. This has led to the country being referred to as executeing pot, which is as true today as it was in the 19th century.
When move down the street in any city in the U.S., it is hard to look around and not see soul of a different background, ethnicity, race, or creed as yourself. Disneys Schoolhouse Rock states it simply in its song, The Great American run Pot: Our heritage is mixed…you simply melt right in, it doesnt matter what your skin. It doesnt matter where youre from, or your religion, you jump right in, to the Great American Melting Pot.
