I am applying to Walden Universitys passe-partout of Science in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Forensic Counseling. I am concerned in eventually becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, possibly having my own practice, and this concomitant program offers the credentials and accreditation essential to meet that goal.
The decision to pursue Counseling in the field of force of Mental Health came from desiring a change, utilizing several different resources, and more or less importantly a self-analysis. I came to a place in my career, and my life, where I had to ask myself things like, Where is this melodic phrase going to take you close? Why are you not able at your true position? What do you like to do? How would you like to overtake your time on regular basis? What is important to you? What makes you happy? So, I began to do a self-inventory on some of these things and likewise began to research different careers, as well as Masters spirit level options. I even took some personality assessments, and career and job assessments, and everything that I prove lead me back to this one particular path Counseling.
After reading about this career path, the associated lams, and descriptions of the jobs that would perform available to me, something really began to connect within me. I found myself desiring to learn the things that the course descriptions told me they would teach me and also found myself admiring the imprint that this program would lead me into. I even reflected on foregone situations where Professional Counseling had helped me, benefited some of my loved ones, and helped change the course of life for close friends. I knew then, that this was the program and direction I wanted to take.
