Executive summary
The purpose of this report is to critically examine Belbin and Margerison and McCanns nuzzlees to team dynamics. The use of Foys version of the Belbin examination is utilized in order to gather behavioural information of team members. The accuracy of the test results and commitment of team members to their allocated roles is examined. Limitations incurred by the team include the simplification of the Foys examination, thus resulting in befuddled substance and secondly, the confusion encountered in the rewording of the examination. Three major recommendations were established in order to improve team enduringness and efficiency. These recommendations are the construction of psychological contracts to improve team communication theory and commitment, the identification of team roles, thus increasing levels of individual function and lastly, the use of the Tuckmans Five Stage Developmental Model.
