In 1958, during their summer vacation, Danny Zuko played by the infamous hindquarters Travolta and blond Olsson played by the one and only Olivia Newton-John suffer at a beach and begin to fall in love. Instead of returning to Australia at summers end, Sandy enrolls at Rydell last School as a foreign-exchange student, where Danny is also a student. Sandy makes a new fellow Frenchy played by Didi Conn, a member of the schoolgirl clan The Pink Ladies.
