RIGHTS-BASED ETHICS This theory is based on an understanding of human rightsâ€"the belief that an individual in a democratic society should be shielded from undue forces and allowed to foil it on and pursue personal projects; that is, the individual has certain rights, legal as well as moral. PRINCIPLE-BASED ETHICS Moral principles are general, universal guides to action. VIRTUE-BASED ETHICS The exercise of virtues in establishing right reason in action.
